Vacuum Once a Week

Re-Finish 

Even with proper hardwood floor cleaning, they will lose their luster after three to four years. You can put some life back into them by applying a quality hardwood finish to them. 

How often you have to go through this process depends on the amount of foot traffic your floors see and how often you maintain them.
